Ca village (Yen Thai) is a traditional one of paper-production with the founders to be Mr and Mrs Vu Phuc. They are worshipped not in the communal house instead, in a private church and venerated to be a patron saint. Ca village's communal house - a typical beautiful one of Vietnamese old communal house -is the place where the worship takes place. Visitors are very crowded. Many young men dress variegated clothes while girls wear long dresses with their pleasant and vital power over flowed faces. The elders hold eight precious weapons with grey - hair making them vigorous and impressive. Ortagan guild plays continuously. More attentive is "tuong - cheo - singing guilds". All actors and actresses with made up their faces suitable for the roles follow the procession haughtily Clavns make children fussily followed by boys who disguise into girls, carrying drums, moving on weakly, talking female - like and sneaking loving looks at each other. They make everybody laugh their heads off. Along with the procession, several national games such as cook fighting, birdfighting, lion dancing, swinging... also take place during ten days of the festival. Ca village's festival of Buoi region is regarded to be one of multi cultural coloured festivals in over country. |
